Stock Surveys in Full Swing - 

I am currently undertaking stock surveys for 12 quarries so lots of flying time with the UAV. There is something intruiging with the resulting DEM's, they are almost artistic. Clearly when there are signifcant variances in height it makes it look more dramatic.

Once the flying is complete and the initial processing completed I then in conjunction with the Quarry Manager set out the individual stock heaps, number then and define the material and then calculate the volume/tonnage. Altogether easier than having a surveyor on site and the major benefit of limited health and safety issues.
