Good to read over the weekend that much progress is being made to keep the planning system functioning. There are a number of key issues which include (1) obtaining all the technical reports (2) getting applications registered (3) statutory consultees performing and (4) the use of virtual Planning Commitees. In addition various Chambers are in dialogue with the Planning Inspectorate to see if virtual Inquiries can be used. One area which will be key is giving those involved access to the application site. Planning Commitees certainly won't be carrying out site inspections.
